Identifying the Needs of Women Veterans in Rural Areas

Through a subcontract with Atlas Research, HRET is participating in a project to:

• conduct a needs assessment of the Veteran Integrated Service Network (“VISN”) 5
• identify the needs of women Veterans in rural areas, and
• identify appropriate outcome measures to assess care quality for rural women Veterans.

HRET staff will develop interview guides for women Veterans and for providers in VISN 5, code the transcribed interviews, analyze the data and identify themes, and draft a technical report.
