Starting in June 2004, each year HSR will publish summaries of selected AcademyHealth Roundtable sessions. Based on panel discussions held at the Annual Meetings of AcademyHealth during the prior year, these important exchanges advance the translation of health services research into policy initiatives.
This new series is designed to commemorate Alice Hersh, the founding Executive Director and CEO of the Association for Health Services Research (the predecessor of AcademyHealth), and her passion for creating exciting annual meetings that bring together the field's best research and explore its relevance to policy. We gratefully acknowledge AcademyHealth's support of this series by offering the services of its senior staff to attend selected Policy Roundtable sessions, tape the proceedings and prepare summaries in conjunction with the participants.
