Services Research (HSR) is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal that provides researchers and public and private policymakers with the latest research findings, methods, and concepts related to the financing, organization, delivery, evaluation, and outcomes of health services.  Rated as one of the top journals in the fields of health policy and service and healthcare administration, HSR publishes outstanding articles reporting the findings of original investigations that expand knowledge and understating of the wide-ranging field of health care and that will help to improve the health of individuals and communities.

HSR is a leader in the field, ranked among the top 10 journals in ISI's "Health Care Sciences and Services" category of the Science Index, and in the "Health Policy and Services" category of the Social Sciences Index. HSR has now won five Emerald Golden Page Awards. In a recent national survey published in Medical Care Research and Review of 54 journals in the field, the University of Alabama Management and Marketing Department ranked HSR second only to the New England Journal of Medicine in perceived quality and third in perceived relevance.
