Perinatal HIV Testing Teleconference Materials
The American Hospital Association's Health Research and Educational Trust (HRET), Section for Maternal and Child Health, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) joined together to provide a series of dynamic informational sessions for AHA members on Perinatal HIV testing. The response, to these three teleconferences and the information provided, was extremely positive. So much so, that if you missed the calls, there is still an opportunity to access this important information covering CDC recommendations for rapid HIV screening during labor and delivery for all women of unknown HIV status.
Below are the presentation materials provided by Margaret A. Lampe, RN, MPH of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Also follow the link to the CDC's Model Protocol for Rapid HIV Antibody Testing During Labor and Delivery for Women of Unknown HIV Status.
