Who We Are

Mission:
To enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of health services delivery and management through clearly defined, timely, actionable, and well-executed research.

The Center for Health Management Research (CHMR), a program of the Health Research & Educational Trust, an affiliate of the American Hospital Association, is a unique collaborative among hospitals and health system leaders and academic university leaders from around the country. Throughout the history of CHMR, the focus has been on the development and growth of hospitals and health care systems. CHMR is staffed by Douglas A. Conrad, PhD, University of Washington School of Public Health and Community Medicine, Co-Director, CHMR and Steve Hines, PhD, Vice President of Research, HRET. The CHMR leadership works closely with members and academic universities to identify and investigate topics of interest to members and their organizations.

CHMR has 6 member organizations and 15 academic universities.
