Chris Anderson serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Singing River Hospital System, which includes 405-bed Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula and 136-bed Ocean Springs Hospital in Ocean Springs. During Chris’ nine years as CEO, Singing River Hospital System has implemented an aggressive plan aimed at improving both clinical and non-clinical services at its hospitals and affiliated entities. Prior to assuming the role of Chief Executive Officer, Chris served as the Administrator of System and Support Services for Singing River Hospital System. Prior to coming to Singing River Hospital System in 1994, Chris worked in the Jackson, Mississippi office of KPMG Peat Marwick, a large international accounting and consulting firm. Chris worked with Peat Marwick for eight years reaching the level of Manager and spent a majority of his time performing assurance and consulting work in the health care industry. Chris began his career with Arthur Andersen in 1985 in their Houston, Texas office.
Chris is a graduate of Mississippi State University, is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of numerous professional and civic organizations. He currently serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Jackson County Economic Development Foundation, Inc., on the Board of Directors of MHA Diversified Services, as President of the Board of Directors of VHA Gulf States, Inc., and just finished a two-year term as President of the United Way of Jackson and George Counties. He also currently serves as Co-Chair of the Mississippi Health Information Technology Infrastructure Task Force, served on the Governor’s Commission for Recovery, Rebuilding and Renewal and chaired the Health and Human Services Committee of this Commission. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Mississippi Society of CPA’s, and the American Institute of CPA’s.
Paul “Nebo” Carter

Mr. Carter served previously as the Assistant Director of Human Resources for Singing River Hospital System, Director of Human Resources for Hudson Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, MS, and as General Manager of Ware’s Hardware in Ocean Springs, MS. He is a member of the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration, and the Society for Human Resource Management, serves on the Board of Directors of the Gulf Coast Workforce Development Board, and serves as an advisory board member of the Mississippi Employment Security Commission. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Ms. Crain coordinates the Leadership and Management Development Program, the Train-the-Trainer Guest Relations program, the annual employee opinion survey, as well as the employee job description and performance evaluation process. Employed by SRHS since April 1999, Lena holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resource Development.
Michael E. Crews

Mr. Crews joined SRHS as CFO in August 2004. Mike was born and raised in Lynchburg, Virginia, where he graduated from high school. He received his bachelor degree in accounting from the University of West Florida in Pensacola and is a certified public accountant. Mike has over thirty years of healthcare experience in various organizational settings, including for profit and not for profit healthcare systems and public accounting. Prior to joining SRHS, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Wadley Health Systems in Texarkana, Texas. Mike served four years in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Fort Walton Beach, Florida and Okinawa. Mike has been married for thirty-four years and has a son.
Kathy Dier
Director of Clinical Data Management

Ms. Dier has been with Singing River Hospital System since 1977, when she joined the staff of Ocean Springs Hospital as a Nurse Assistant/Nurse Tech. Before she was appointed Director of Clinical Data Management in 2006, Kathy served as Director of Case Management. Other previous roles include Assistant Nurse Manager, ICU/CCU; Nurse Manager, Surgical/Orthopedic/Neurological Unit; Utilization Review Coordinator; and Nurse Manager, Utilization Management. Kathy is a member of the American Case Management Association and the VHA Gulf States Quality Director Council and sits on the SRHS Total Quality Management Committee and the SRHS Quality Management Boards.
Kevin Holland

Kevin Holland has been with Singing River Hospital System since 1998 and has held the position of Administrator of Ocean Springs Hospital since January of 2005. Before becoming Administrator, Kevin served as the Associate Administrator of Development for SRHS. Prior to joining SRHS, Kevin served as a Network Development specialist for Health Advantage Plans, an HMO based in Birmingham, Alabama. A native of Pascagoula, MS, Kevin received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Mississippi State University. He also holds a Masters of Healthcare Administration degree and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Alabama-Birmingham. Kevin and his wife, Beth, reside in Ocean Springs and have two sons.
Kathleen Lee, PhD
Associate Administrator

Dr. Lee has held the position of Associate Administrator at Ocean Springs Hospital since October 1998. She has served in nursing and hospital administration positions across the country and overseas, including Pennsylvania, Texas, Rhode Island, and later as the head nurse in Saudi Arabia for the Saudi National Guard. She also served in the United States Air Force as a Captain for four years. Before coming to Ocean Springs Hospital, she was the Vice President of Patient Services for Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Georgia. A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Dr. Lee is a Registered Nurse and holds an undergraduate degree in health care administration and her master’s degree in health services administration from St. Joseph’s College in North Windham, Maine. Additionally, she received her doctorate in health services administration from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minn. She is a Fellow with the American College of Health Care Executives and is a Certified Nursing Administrator.
Richard Lucas

Mr. Lucas is a native of Pascagoula, Mississippi. He is a graduate of the University of Mississippi, holding a bachelor's of business administration degree. His early career in public relations was spent in the shipbuilding and garment industries. He has been Director of Communications for Singing River Hospital System since 1981.
Diana McClintock, MSN

Ms. McClintock has extensive experience as a clinician and leader in healthcare. For the past twelve years she has worked as a Nurse Practitioner in rehabilitation and internal medicine. Her clinical experience includes positions as staff nurse, charge nurse, shift supervisor and Director of Nursing in a variety of clinical settings. Concurrently with her clinical positions, Diana has provided leadership in the design and development of programs and services in areas such as performance improvement, JCAHO and regulatory standards, clinical outcomes management, shared governance, subacute clinical services, and education. A native of Rhode Island, she has lived and worked in Arizona, California, Alabama and Mississippi, completing the Nurse Practitioner program and obtaining her MSN from the University of South Alabama in 1995.
Randy C. Roth, MD

Dr. Roth has been in private practice in Pascagoula since 1996. Dr Roth received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine, and holds a B.S. degree from Rhodes College. He served as a teaching resident and completed his residency and internship in internal medicine at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
Larry D. Shoemaker, MD, MBA, FAAFP, CPE

Prior to joining Singing River Hospital System, Dr. Shoemaker served as a Director for Navigant Consulting. Earlier, he was the Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer and Chief Medical Officer for Lake Forest Hospital in Lake Forest, Illinois, as well as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the East Valley Regional Health System in Phoenix, Arizona. Previously, he served as Chief Medical Officer for the Frankford Health Care System in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and served as the Chief Executive Officer for Interstate Health Services, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation operating urgent care centers, chemical dependency, occupational health and wellness programs. In Colorado Springs, he served as Site Administrator for St. Francis Hospital. He was also Vice President of the Penrose/St. Francis Healthcare System. Dr. Shoemaker is a graduate of the University of Arkansas Medical School and received his Masters of Business Degree from the University of Denver.
David L. Spencer, MD, FACS

In addition to his role at SRHS, Dr. Spencer is the senior partner of South Mississippi Surgeons, practicing General, Vascular and Thoracic surgery along with 5 other surgeons. His practice in Jackson County has spanned 26 years. He is Board Certified in General Surgery and, as of January 2007, is Board Certified in Hyperbaric Medicine. He completed his Medical School and residency in General Surgery at Tulane University in New Orleans. Recently, Dr. Spencer was invited to give a grand rounds lecture on “Wound Care in the 21st Century” for the Surgery department and residents at Tulane University Medical Center.
Lynn Truelove

Having served in healthcare administration since 1981, Mr. Truelove has served with both Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, Louisiana and Singing River Hospital System. During his 24 years in healthcare administration, Mr. Truelove has supported many community and civic activities. He has been active in the United Way, Chamber of Commerce, Mississippi Hospital Association, Mississippi Coastal Trauma Region, Rotary Club of Pascagoula, American Heart Association, March of Dimes and The American Cancer Society since moving to the coast of Mississippi. In addition, he is serving as an adjunct faculty member and preceptor with the University of Alabama at Birmingham Program in Hospital and Healthcare Administration. He is a graduate of Livingston University, Livingston, Alabama with a B.S. Degree in Business Administration and from University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Master’s Degree in Hospital Administration.

Ms. Vaughan has extensive experience as a clinician and leader in healthcare, including positions as staff nurse, assistant nurse manager, nurse manager, and Director of Nursing. In addition to clinical positions, Ms. Vaughan provides leadership in the development of programs and services in areas of nursing professional development, organization performance improvement, Joint Commission standards, shared governance, and nursing sensitive quality indicators. A native of Mississippi, Ms. Vaughan completed the Family Nurse Practitioner Program and received a Master of Science in Nursing Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1998. She is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Angela Wenstrom, RN, BSN, CWS

Ms. Wenstrom has over 10 years nursing experience including cardiac stepdown, cardiothoracic surgical ICU, and wound care. She is a Certified Wound Specialist and is currently the Clinical Coordinator at the Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Center, Ocean Springs Hospital.
Marsha White, RN, MSN

Ms. White has held the position of Associate Administrator/CNO since October 2002. She has over thirty years of nursing experience in a variety of areas including Perioperative Services, Women and Children’s Services, and Intensive Care, serving in clinical, academic and leadership positions. Before coming to Singing River Hospital System, she was the Director of Rapides Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana. She has provided leadership in the development of the Shared Governance Model for Nursing, the Clinical Ladder Program, and implementation of patient safety initiatives such as the 100,000 Lives and 5 Million Lives Campaigns. In addition, Ms. White serves as a board member of the Mississippi Coast Endoscopy and Ambulatory Surgery Center, the Mississippi Coastal Trauma Care Region, and the American Heart Association. A native of Louisiana, Ms. White received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing Administration from Northwestern State University in Shreveport, Louisiana.
