Best Information
Good information is the gateway to good care. HRET has a long history of helping caregivers apply the best data to make the most effective system improvements.
The existence of health disparities by race and ethnicity is well documented. The HRET Disparities Toolkit is a Web-based resource that helps health care settings of all kinds efficiently implement systems to collect data on patient race, ethnicity, and primary language. This data, when combined with clinical outcomes data, can help clinicians and administrators eliminate treatment differences based on race, ethnicity, or language. The toolkit includes staff training presentations, survey templates, code sets, and links to other resources.
There is an abundance of research evidence that can be applied to most management decisions. HRET’s Center for Health Management Research (CHMR) is a dynamic group of forward-thinking health care senior executives and university-based health services researchers working together to design and execute research projects based on the practical needs of the field. The CHMR’s 17 member universities and 13 industry sponsors work with HRET to set the Center’s research agenda. With CHMR, HRET is putting real-time research findings in the hands of administrators to help them respond most effectively to current and emerging challenges.
