AHRQ and HRET ePSS Web Conference

Meaningful Use of EHRs: Providing Preventive Services at the Point of Care

Registration: FREE

Date: Wednesday, November 3, 2010

Time: 12:30-2:00 PM Eastern Time

Presented by:

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) Health Research & Educational Trust (HRET) of the American Hospital Association

The Web conference is part of an ongoing outreach project by AHRQ to assist health care providers, educators, and other health care professionals in implementing the evidence-based recommendations of the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force.

To make it easier to implement the USPSTF recommendations in clinical practice, AHRQ has created the electronic Preventive Services Selector (ePSS). The ePSS is a free electronic application that includes the current recommendations of the USPSTF. It can be easily downloaded to a handheld device (e.g., iPhone, BlackBerry), installed as a widget on any Web site, or embedded into EMR and EHR systems to further ease the use of the USPSTF recommendations into the clinical workflow. The ePSS allows clinicians to provide age, gender, and behavior-specific health screening, counseling, and preventive services to their patients at the point of care.
