Implementation of AHRQ Patient Safety and Quality Tools

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), www.ahrq.gov, has over 30 tools and resources designed to strengthen the quality and safety of patient care in hospitals and other provider settings. Hospitals may also benefit from using their consumer-targeted resources that can be co-branded and shared with patients. For these resources to make a difference though, health care practitioners need to be aware that the resources exist, identify which ones are relevant to their needs, and have technical support to implement them successfully. HRET was awarded a contract by AHRQ to accomplish this important goal. The project will work with state hospital associations to promote and support the successful implementation of these resources.
